We ensure that we retain as much of the original book as possible and can even rebind books whilst retaining the original covers and spines if they are able to be preserved. We are also able to bind new books to fit your exact requirements, whether it be a Christening gift or a one off special binding for your first published novel!.
About Us
Roger Perry is a specialist bookbinder / book repairer and gold finisher with over 50 years experience. Roger has spent the last 50 years working as a bookbinder and gold finisher in the UK after having completed a 6 year apprenticeship with George Bayntuns of Bath in the 1960's. His wife Penny also worked in the bookbinding industry and has 50 years experience in re-sewing, headbands and paper restoration. Together they are able to offer a complete professional book restoration service.
Roger and Penny migrated to Australia in 2007 to be with their family and have since set up their own book restoration business in Brisbane. They have established clients locally as well as interstate including places such Melbourne - Victoria, Sydney - New South Wales (NSW), Adelaide -South Australia and Perth - Western Australia.
Custom designed book boxes
We are able to make storage boxes that imitate books. Custom made book boxes can be designed to fit an existing book you already have or sized depending to your needs. You may wish to store your Ipad or e-reader as an example therefore we can size the box to fit this exactly. There are many options of finish such as full leather, half leather and hand marbled paper or cloth. This really depends on your requirements and budget, the options are endless therefore please contact us to discuss your needs.

19th Century Family Bible Restoration

This valuable first edition required a full rebinding. We carefully removed the text block, repaired damaged pages, and created a new leather binding that complemented the book's era. The spine was finished with hand-tooled gold leaf detailing, restoring the book to its former glory.
